Red Hot Macaroni Recipe

After the posting the glorious Macaroni Alfredo recipe the other day, we are back to the normal macaroni, the spicy one, it has a place of its own because you can’t have the same type every other day.

So to keep it special, we try different types but not compromising on the taste, hence the red hot spicy macaroni.

Below is the recipe of red hot spicy macaroni along with pictures. I hope you will love this as well.

Ingredients Quantity
Macaroni 1 cup
Capsicum (chopped) 1
Onion (chopped) 1
Cabbage (chopped) 1/2 cup
Garlic (chopped) 4 flakes
Tomato puree 1/2 cup
Tomato sauce 1 teaspoon
Red chilly paste 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Cheese (mozzarella) 1/4 cup
Milk 1/4 cup
Pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon
Butter 3 tablespoon
lemon juice 1 teaspoon
Coriander leaves for garnish

Method:

1. Take macaroni and 3 cup water along with a pinch of salt into the wok and boil it until macaroni cooked properly,( It will take approximately 7-8 minutes). Drain the water and wash with running cold water to remove starch from the macaroni. Chop capsicum, cabbage, onion and garlic finely.

2. Heat the wok with butter and sauté with garlic, followed by onions. Fry onions till translucent. Add cabbage, capsicum and give a quick stir on medium heat for a minute.

3. Add tomato puree, tomato sauce, pepper powder, red chilly paste, salt. Cook the spices for another 1 minutes.

4. Add milk, grated cheese and mix it well. Now add cooked macaroni, lemon juice and cook for 1 minutes. Mix it well, garnish with some chopped coriander leaves, serve hot with your favorite sauce, mayo or beverages.
