Uttapam Recipe | A Healthy Breakfast Uttapam

Ingredients Quantity
Rice 2 cup
White Urad dal 1 cup
Oil 2 teaspoon
Onion 1
Tomato 1
Green chilli 4
Coriander leaves 1 bunch
Cumin Seeds 1/4 teaspoon
Garlic 3 cloves
Salt As needed

Method:

1. Wash and soak rice and urad dal overnight. Blend them to make smooth batter as shown below in picture. Keep it for the whole night to ferment the batter. Heat the pan with oil, sauté with cumin seeds, add onion garlic and green chilli. Fry onion till light golden brown.

2. Then add chopped tomato and salt. Cook it till tomato is mushy and add coriander leaves. Mix this fry ingredients into batter and mix well.

3. Heat the tawa and pour some batter on it with a ladle and spread it to a thick circle as shown below in picture. Spread some oil on it.

4. Cook in the same way from the other side.Uttapam is ready to serve with your favourite chutney.
